Minimal shot and very good shot. I like it very much. Yellow star.

Love this photo, simplicity, but fabulous, great colours. Dianne.

Wow, thanks Eva Paolo Gerlin (Falcocieco), diannemcd and Daniella Brocca! I didn't think it was that interesting, I really didn't expect anyone to take much notice of it -- just a post in the water. I'm happy for your comments, thank you all very much!

I hope you didn't get too wet, Nawitka.

Not at all not1drop! I was high and dry!

wow Nawitka, that's quite some jetty! I've got to say, though - the map is really cool, too, with all the log rafts. Now is one river mouth for lumber traffic and the south one for other boats?

HAJEX on April 19, 2009

Just Beautiful!

Greetings from Connecticut, Frank!

Nice angle, good shot!

Hi Bitsy, HAJEX and Guido Musch! Thank you so much for your very kind remarks. I am so glad you came to visit this photo, but I am still surprised people are so interested. This was taken from a small commercial plane.

The so-called "North Arm" of the Fraser (this one) is the major industrial part of the river and the lumber mills on Mitchell Island are upstream from here. The "South Arm" is used if you are going to the Annacis Island industrial areas. They both end up at the same place so you can use either one if you are going as far as New Westminster.

Riiight. So maybe it is possible to walk across this but you'd have to be well balanced? There's my weekend mission!
