spring may be too difficult because of high waters in rivers.

August is best if you're planning to go on high plains, like the Deosai plains, with all flowers in full bloom.

For (motor-) biking it is best to go in September to early October when the main cargo traffic across the Karakoram Highway has faded away. The KKH is a motobiker's paradise at this time of the year: road in good conditions, maybe two or three vehicle per hour, best weather, and of course the scenery covered in gentle autumn light ...
