Amazing photo. Whats the best time of the year to visit northern pakistan? i want to go but im not decided yet if go in autumn or in spring. Greetings from Argentina.

Hi Dino,

spring may be too difficult because of high waters in rivers.

August is best if you're planning to go on high plains, like the Deosai plains, with all flowers in full bloom.

For (motor-) biking it is best to go in September to early October when the main cargo traffic across the Karakoram Highway has faded away. The KKH is a motobiker's paradise at this time of the year: road in good conditions, maybe two or three vehicle per hour, best weather, and of course the scenery covered in gentle autumn light ...

Zerega, thanks a lot for the info!; im planning to visit first fairy meadows and nanga parbat base camp, then ill return to KKH and go north up to pasu or the chinese border(if the road is clear of the landslide by then). I was thinking to go in the end of september.
