Beautiful colors Graham! Seems to be some fog around the mountain, that's nice!

I hate to say it, Jasper but I rather suspect that the mistiness is smog, not fog - but let's be generous and settle on windblown dust particles - however I don't think it detracts from the lovely winter sunset - if anything it balances the clours out in the picture. Thanks for your comments - I still like the picture myself despite my fears about the fog - Graham.

You're right Graham, doesn't really matter what it is (fog, smog or dust), the picture is beautiful.

I have added your gallery to my favorites. I will be back to revisit.

Like to go for Holiday to South Africa this or next year maybe, and you have nice shots in your gallery. So I will watch them (again).

greetings Jasper

Thanks Tom - I always try to add something of my own when faced with a classic scene, and I sometimes get lucky, like when this dog-walker popped up to finish the picture off. Graham

thanks so much for that W Steyn - I'd been there sevral years earlier in the summer when the colours were bright and strong (print film- take ages to find neg) and this was a nice scene - as you say, beautiful soft colours - but missing the final element tat made it a picture rather than just a great time and place to be - and this dog walker came along - I'm eternally grateful to him!

much appreciated Maria - it's a stunning view - the trick is not to make it look beautiful - it already does - but to try to find a fresh way to show it !
