Glad you enjoyed this not1word! These "gargoyles" were the work of artist Mark Villiers, and were installed at the Calgary Herald building in 1912; saved in 1972 and re-installed around town; some are collected at the University of Calgary. Some of the minor works (plants, birds, etc.) were auctioned off for charity and are now supporting coffee tables in private homes.
