其實不是保存的完善，這是近年修建的。 説來這座寺殿從形制上還對古開福寺的建築群制構成了破壞。因爲向來佛教寺廟的最重要建築為大雄寶殿，而新修建的大悲殿卻比原有的大雄寶殿還要雄偉和高大，在衛星圖可以清楚對比出。形成這個獨特的尷尬格局，個中原因比較複雜了，據説跟當下開福寺女性僧尼站主導地位有關~
