You know Sam - I'm sure you know, Sam - bluebell woods tend to be scrappy places - I've always struggled to find vistas that really give a sense of the pleasure of being there and can bear looking at in detail as well - and when you do get a really good area like this, the trouble is keeping the hoards of other people out of the shot - you know, incidentally, you're on a slippery slope with young Freddie - he'll be wanting his own pano site next, then people will slowly stop visiting yours.... etc etc
thanks for the Y* - I was really happy to find the spot :)

Funny you should say that Graham, Nick said the very same thing! As I just explained to him Freddie did actually have his own gallery, my niece Paige made it for him and though it was a very kind thing to do for him he is far too young, so my sister took it over that is why her user name is Freddie fish. I know what you mean about people getting in the way, perhaps you should take Freddie with you the next you go he is great to have around for that very reason! Once we were at I think Scotney Castle and we were both taking pictures from the bridge when a couple stood right in front of us and at the top of his voice he shouted Excuse me could everyone get off of the bridge please I want to take a photo!! Well at least he said please and it did the trick :D Sam

Is it a HDR or isn't it?
Either way a beautiful well done picture with a new yellow star!
Best wishes,

Thanks again LM - I was saying to Sam how few white bluebellsthere are here - it certainly adds to the intensity
Thanks to you Strucki and your Y* for these lovely flowers - it's a one-shot HDR, tone-mapped but made as natural as possible I find it's the quickest and most satisfactory way to get the useful information out of a RAW file with the software I've got.
thank-you both for your visits and kind words

thanks Steve - as I said, I was very happy that the weather and the peak of the bluebells came together on a day when I could get out to them.

thanks Ken - it's the first time I've actually been to that wood at Pamphill - I've only looked behind the church before - but as I've been trying to record the passing seasons a bit over the last year, i couldn't miss out on the pamphill bluebells - improving photography - nw there's a never ending quest - which is part of what makes it so much fun, I guess. :)
