If you can believe it... This started out as a red rose from my yard. I played with if for a day or two, 15 different versions to be exact. Anyway, I like the final outcome and hope you do also. Sharon

Very nice Sharon. A modern art original. A rose? Wow. It could almost be an aerial view of a volcano or alien landscape. It makes the mind work in ways that only true art can. Well done.

Best regards, Tom

I's sure it still 'smells as sweet' !

Good work Sharon

Thank you Ira for your very nice comment. I think photos can be art and it is nice when someone else thinks so also. Sharon

Hi Alan. Thank you for taking the time to write to me concerning my photo, it was very nice of you to say such nice things.. My ancestors come from Ireland and I would so badly love to visit there. I have been all over Ireland in Google Earth and looked at 1000's of photos from there, dreaming of the places I am going to see. Anyway, sorry to get off the subject but I wish to thank you for visiting and I am off to your gallery to look at your photos in more detail. Best to you and remember someone longs to be in your beautiful country. Sharon

Hi Tom. Thank you for your wonderful comment. I enjoy taking an ordinary photo and spending, or some would think wasting my day playing with it. I have so many little plug-ins to play with in Photoshop and I hate to let them go to waste. I do not know if anyone else would be interested in my Artsy stuff. I also make Art Quilts. some day I will take a photo of one of them so you can tell me what you think of that one also. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. It makes my day!! Sharon

Hi Sharon , no need to apoligise at all. Do you know what part of Ireland your ancestors came from? I hope you get to visit soon, you're more than welcome.

Thanks for the lovely comments about my country, she is very beautiful. I hope you enjoyed my gallery and you're welcome any time!

Good morning Alan. I am not entirely sure which part of the country because everyone one who would really know is no longer around. I have heard Larne, and County Antrim, and Northern Ireland, but that is just... I truly wished I knew. I know my father's side is from Ireland. He always said he was "black Irish" and I have tried to find out what that really meant. If you know what the real meaning is I would love to know. My mother's side all came from Finland. That is another country I wish to see. Same with that though, not sure. It is really sad not to know where your ancestors come from. I have looked through old photos and Bibles but my family was awful to record anything. I hope being from Northern Ireland is not a bad thing. Best to you and happy weekend. Sharon

Sharon !!! OF COURSE being from Northern Ireland is NOT a bad thing!!! Northern Ireland is just as good and just as beautiful as the rest of it. Thank God it is more peacefull now too. I know Seán from Northern Ireland. He may know the meaning of the phrase Black-Irish. It may have a few meanings? He may be able to help and i'm sure he'l have some beautiful photos of Larne too.

Thanks Alan. I am glad to hear the it is Not Bad. I went to Sean's gallery and will go back and look in more detail later. Thank you for taking the time to write back. I cannot wait to get to Ireland. Hopefully within the next year or two. Which town or County are you from, if I may ask? Talk to you later. Sharon
