This whale was spotted about 10 nm north of Santa Barbara Island (near Catalina Island) in March 07.
The Minke Whale makes no visible spout, but this one surfaced a few hundred feet from Sancerre.
She (he?) swam in our vicinity for 15-20 minutes as we transited in glassy seas to Santa Barbara Island.
