It ha taken me a long time to reply here, so please accept my apologies.
The colour comes from the fact that the sky was a clear blue at twilight, and the yellow sodium lights from the factory made it appear violet. It was unbelievable to see this for me also :)

Hello again Kjetil, I'm glad you liked it. It is no longer possible to get this view of the Shell oil tanks as they have filled most of the 'sea' with hard standing for storage. We have lived in Norway for +3 years, and I see lots of changes especially in this area! Very industrial - but interesting too.
