Little Saredon. The windmill remained in use until at least 1872 and its working life thereafter being slightly prolonged through the use of a portable steam engine to drive the stones. In 1942 the remains of the sails were removed and the tower was converted into a house for the proprietor of Hawkins Tile Works in Cannock.

Hi Peter A mate of mine used to know the guy who lived there - not sure if he's still there or not. I'll see if I can get his permission to upload a couple of his photos. The Pink Windmill is as well-known locally as the one at Hammerwich, near Burntwood. Bob
