This side of the pond it tends towards more extreme weather. When it rains, you don't want to be out in it! Then when it stops you still don't want to be outside as the humidity will get you.
It looks like you're getting those miles in - keep it up.

Some years ago I visited Florida in July and found it very uncomfortable, not only the humidity but also the mosquitos!
