This is absolutely stunning. I just gave it a yellow star and a "best of" flag.

Ralph Maughan on May 14, 2007

Thank you, Eve. I'm kind of new to this. What is a yellow star and a "best of?"

I took this photo in early August. This great light lasted about 2 minutes

By clicking the star in front of a picture, you can add the photo to your favorites list. A best of flag, means "Best of Panoramio" and is something it's nice to do when you run across photos that are exceptional. Of course, quality and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This is also a great way to find new photographers that you haven't seen yet. I notice you have Snemann, the Norwegian photographer of gorgeous mountainscapes (and lot of everything else) favorited as a photographer. Take a look at his favorites collection. You can also click on my list of favorite photographers and look at their stuff. It's quite inspiring. There's some fantastic photographers on here....

I have been looking at your pictures the last two weeks (daughter is on backpkg trip in the Absarokas and I wanted to "see" the area). Your work is just so good. This one is so remarkable I had to comment. You do a great service for those of us who will likely never get to these places.

Ralph Maughan on June 25, 2009

Thank you so much for your comments. I'm especially glad to learn that my photos in the Absaroka are appreciated.
