Great swanset Bits! The one on the back is just trying to get one more look at his reflection before nap time.

So cute, neat the way she can go about her needs - having a drink of water while the babies do their thing. Precious.

Thanks Guy and Cal ! It sure is surprising how fast the newly hatched cygnets are out there swimming along and feeding themselves.

I just am in awe of these photos. Our animal/bird kingdom is very kind to us at times. Great set of photos. Dianne

Thjanks Dianne - it's pretty great to have all of these so close to photograph. And the really nice thing about cygnets is they don't grow up to be Geese!

Cool swan series, Bits! I love them a lot!

Bits-n-Pieces on May 5, 2009

Thanks Norrel - and this is just one of 4 families in progress - these were the first to hatch. Hope I can get myself back over there again before they're all grown up!

I've enjoyed all these swans Kamaly; it is nice that you are able to visit them in all seasons. This family shot is specially nice, thanks for posting them all.

Thanks Nawitka ! And the little cutie was still smartly getting a piggyback ride from Mom when I finally made it back to visit this evening. Another family has 4 cygnets, and two other nests have yet to hatch - so hopefully there'll be more shots over the summer.
