Obrigado, lury! It is an old railroad bridge, now used for bicycles.
What a beautiful picture, Ryan! The dainty rusty coloured ironwork of the bridge and the green of the trees in Springtime. The trees are taking over the bridge and embracing it. :-) A yellow star! Greetings, May
Thanks May! (But you forgot to mention the shadow of the truss on the grass!) ;-) This is one of the bridges I was telling you about, except this is not on the Katy trail itself. It is on the MKT spur which runs 9 miles into Columbia. This old rail line has been turned into a bicycle/running track as well, and it meets the main Katy trail near McBaine. I used to ride my bike from Columbia to Rocheport every weekend, and pass over this bridge on the way. Greetings, Ryan
Thanks for reminding me, Ryan, about the shadow! ;-)) And we didn't mention the reflection of the trees either.
I will have to get a map of Missouri in order not lose the overview! ;-) May
A very beautiful, old bridge.
It damages that one lets her rust!
Thanks, Manfred. But it's rusting as it's supposed to. These old bridges of iron start rusting the minute they're built. The rust is only on the surface, though, and doesn't make the bridge weak.
I like the river part with the little rocks and stones. This helps the impression of a lonely brigde, abandoned and forgotten. I also like the high position of the bridge. Cool photo.
Thanks Carsten. Yes, there are quite a few trees and vines growing around the bridge, and that makes it look like it's been forgotten here. Greetings, Ryan
Very beautiful ....
Accept the greetings: Yahya bin Hamad
Hi Ryan, I see you have pictures from the Katy Trail. Would you consider joining the Bike Trail Worldwide, Panoramio group and putting some of your pictures there?
