The Caledonian Railway runs a number of steam and diesel trains on a preseved 4 mile track rather like a working museum kindly run by volunteers.

This was a special Diesel event that ran for three days. I didn’t have time to go and see the outside of the destination station that day, but having gone to see it yesterday in grim weather, I want to go back and take a photo in fine weather.

I’m now interested in getting some steam train shots!
