Flame Azalea is a blooming bush or small tree that is native to the Appalachian Mountains in the eastern United States. It grows 6-12 ft. tall and blooms in May and June. The yellow to orange (or even reddish) flowers usually appear before new leaves. The Cardinals and some other bird species like to build their nests in this shrub.
