The cave is very interesting. Here, the limestone plateau is relatively shallow (about 150 m thick) and rests on the granite Cevennes background. The river disappears underground and make a short journey in freshly carved caves with various falls. The chasm is equipped with a footpath. The visit is very impressive.

Do you know when is the best time to visit the fountains of Vaucluse? we went there in November 2007 but the fountains were 'resting'.
