I like this shot of your two castle shots the best ~ it looks so "right rugged" and it is a beautiful composition ~ your bike trip paid dividends ~ Ciao nick

Cheers Nick. I agree. I didn't have a wide enough lens and I couldn't get far enough away to get an unhindered shot of the whole castle, so the other one is a bit of a compromise.

Magnificent!

It blows my mind that there are still places like this out there.

Georgia has nothing that comes even CLOSE!

What a grand and wonderful place. I am in awe!

Best regards from the sheltered one in Georgia,

Mary Alice

MaryAlice, you would love this area. There are so many ancient castles, churches and monasteries that hark back to the turbulent times when England and Scotland were continually skirmishing. The Vikings and Danes were also a constant threat to the peace at one time and many centuries later we benefit from all the photo opportunities.

Yes, you would be in your element here.

Regards, Keith

ps: If you were to click on my tag "Castles" you would find a few of the many great buildings to be found within a 45 minute drive from here.

These days it is only scary because of all the bikers who visit! ;)
