'Huntcliff' from Skinningrove

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

One of Clevelands best kept secrets...The beach is accessible at most states of the tide guaranteeing some running space for my pet dog Roxy.

It is hard to believe that heavy industry in the form of huge rolling mills are situated just a few hundred metres beyond the top of this cliff.

If you have a few moments to spare, the preceding link throws some light on the history of Skinningrove iron and steel works.

What a fantastically interesting location.

I have just been reading up on your comments and the place seems almost too good to be true :)

I can't believe I spent so much of my younger years around the general area, and yet look at your pictures on panoramio and get transported to little gems I had no idea existed :)

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on June 23, 2012

beegood~~~~Nothing really changes Maja !! Here we are more than a year on and it is still pretty grey out there..Looks like we are seeing record rainfall and low temperatures. My central heating bills are sky high too!

Marin Stanisic~~~Thanks for your visit and nice comment!

Dean Matthews~~~Well Dean, it may surprise you to learn that having lived around these parts for three score years + 11, I still discover gems right under my nose. Perhaps I see things in a different light these days..My appreciation of the region knows no bounds and I consider myself fortunate in living close to so much beauty.

Your observations and reflective comment is much appreciated!
