Good, old Yorkshire fishing village. Thanks you Jim. Greetings.
FDLEON ~~~~apologies for this very late reply, I appreciate your visit and nice comment ;>)
Indeed JIM....Those painted houses remind me of a small island just off the coast of Venezuela that inh earlyer ages was in the hands of England and now belongs to the Kingdom of the Netherlands:: CURACAO.On that Island they use a lot of paint to color their sometimes very humble houses, but the more expensive buildings allso are decorated in many colours. This is a terrible nice shot:BO.
My FAV.!!!!By visiting again.Ciao.
Best wishes FEIKA
Feika~~~~How very interesting. These houses are normally clad in a drab grey coloured pebble-dash.. painted in bright colours, they look fresh and clean ;>)
There are strict planning controls that forbid the use of non-authentic paint pigments..This ensures that the paint colours match those which were commonly available when the houses were first built over three hundred years ago..
Feitse, Your thoughtful feedback and generous praise means a great deal to me Thank you ;>)

Well, I'm so glad you stopped by!..
Yes, Sarah O is a fine lady and creates the most scrumptious looking cakes on the planet...she's pretty handy with her camera too !!
You read me well there Stacy, all this tit-for-tat like thing is not required, desired or necessary..but I would hate to offend anyone for simply being polite....Any one bothering to leave any comment has my respect but not necessarily my vote, if you get my gist ;>)
I am humbled by your wonderful remarks Stacy..and flattered to have my photo saved to your faves (even if you did nor add the Y*)..
That you enjoyed the photo justifies my galleries existence ;>)
Kind regards sent your way!
Beautiful shot, shame about these god-awful wheelie bins, they spoil the best pictures, even here! ** and Greetings from Scotland

Donnachaidh Dubh~~~Apologies for the late reply Donnachaidh~~~~I could and should have removed said WB's in PS!
thor@odin™~~~Thanks for your fine praise here Peter ;) This ancient fishing village has changed little in 300 years..and it is a hidden gem, secluded in the deep cleft between towering cliffs. It draws tourists like a magnet..Thankfully, spaces for parking is at a premium so there is plenty of space in the village!
Nick Weall~~Friendly greetings Old Bean ;) If only my repartee was as fulsome as your wonderful wit and good humour Nick..Ah well, back to the drawing board!
Zelia Waltrick~~~A warm welcome Zelia ;) I'm most grateful for your generous and inspirational appraisal.., many thanks!
