Hi! tu-quoque..it is a pleasure to see you again ;>)

Yes, this is true, the quaint old village is most photogenic..it has been a magnet for many true artists for more than 200 years..HERE is some information regarding the group ;.)

Thanks for your friendly visit and good comment ;.)

Małgorzata Kasiewicz..I'm grateful for your visit and good comment..sorry for the late response..

Churl---Like yourself Si, I like to get a feel for the place..Staithes and surrounding area has always featured large in my life at some stage..

It must have taken many centuries of development before this area of the beck became stable enough for the foundations of those lovely old houses..

It is the almost completely random and chaotic placement of the houses in this village, like many others along this coast, that I find so appealing.

Kind regards to you both ;>)

I must say, Jim, this is a fabulous picturmegraph. I really like in a gold star kind of way. That there building to the extreme right of the shot is now bright blue! Sam and I had a right royal wing about such folly But seriously, this shot epitomises everything I enjoy about your work. No HDR, or any messing. It is a classic.

Jan Oskar~~~You are most welcome Jan ;) There is no doubting the unique beauty of this quaint old fishing village..I am privileged to live so close to such interesting and photogenic places!

elieta~~~I greet you warmly Elieta and thank you heartily for your lovely compliment!

Ṩtink~~~If you enjoyed looking at it half as much as I enjoyed shooting it I'm chuffed! Most of my stuff, to be honest Si, is/was no more than snapshot work...However, since we both have learned a little more about the prerequisites for good photos, I hope to have lifted my game a little since these early Staithes shots were taken!! I was lucky enough to have chosen a half decent camera for my early beginnings..It still does the business, sometimes, to a higher standard than my SLR + lens! Thanks for the affirmation!

To you all, I express my sincere gratitude for your visits, precious comments, your endorsements and sundry accolades!!

Kind regards :)
