Either that or you had a trifle too many baked beans on your toast that day, Jim! :)
This is such a delightful scene, with that fresh blue sky and those little blobs of stonework plopped here and there as though a huge tide had deposited them against the smart paintwork!
I really wish I'd taken the trouble to visit your neck of the woods before departing England for good, Jim. It looks entrancing and ripe for exploring -- so many twists and turns and enticing little buildings. Oh well, keep taking these beautiful photos won't you? That's the closest I'll ever get now!
Very best wishes to you,
Sue

You put so much thought into your replies Sue and I can tell you, it is a real pleasure to read them. Your quick eye and keen observations, plus your very agreeable sense of humour does wonders for my spirit, let alone my ever so grossly inflated ego ;>)
I know just how much you love your adopted country Sue, and your chosen patch has a beauty so richly portrayed in your amazing gallery!!
(now that should get me some slack back ;>) )
I doff my hat to you my dear QOZ xx
Susan @llen, on June 10, 2009, said:
Oh yes, absolutely! Thank you so much, dear Jim, you are most definitely in my good books now.Mwah! You may have lots of slack, in fact you may be positively baggy!
All the very best wishes from down under...never sounds too great, that, does it? Sort of as though it emanated from somewhere deep within the nether regions of your trousers, but I mean, of course Australia...
Yours,
QOZ Sue x

AXOTA, on June 10, 2009, said:
Hi Alan, its good to see you pal ;>)) You did well to walk THE CLEVELAND WAY, it has to be one of the prettiest coastal walks ever. I have only walked short sections of it, notably Whitby to RHB, and the other way towards Kettleness. I don't walk too well since a bad smash-up broke my leg badly, many years ago (18yrs old)
Much of my summer time is spent inshore fishing, along the coast in my old boat. On fine days I can see countless people on the cliff top, looking down at me, as I peer towards them. That could have been you up there Alan.
That's an honour my friend the Y* is a precious gift.
