Ian - Phenomenal colours!! Complementary colours like these always make an artwork or any photograph SING. This is a very beautiful aria that it is singing to me!!

Cheers, Hazel

Dear Hazel,

As you love colour complements and combinations, an explore of Michael Habla's gallery is worth every minute. Thanks for your creatively beautiful compliment. (It is a small pity that I didn't know how to remove the spots from the dirt on my sensor when I posted this. I know now.)

Hazel Coetzee on February 24, 2009

Ian - I would not have even noticed those tiny spots - my eyes are deteriorating but I am fighting the disorder with lots of herbs and good advice and it seems they are holding their own!!

It is a really super shot, I have added it to My Favourites!

Ian Stehbens on February 24, 2009

I appreciate your adding it to your favourites, Hazel, and overlooking the imperfections. I hope that one day, Panoramio will provide us a way of playing a slide show of our favourites.

Dear Josep Maria Alegre,

I first must apologise for not acknowledging your visit made in August 2007. Forgive me. I have seen your comment again, and appreciate it very much, and thank you too for adding this image to your favourites.

Most sincerely,

And greetings from Sydney, Australia.

Hello Ian this is a marvellous picture. Love the strong contrast. It looks almost surreal.

Your added info is most interesting and gives a good insight on this place.

I am delighted Pawel, that you like it so much. Thanks for the honours. How I would love to take you to this wonderful wilderness island!

I know your Spring will entice you outdoors for some more great photography from Poland. I look forward to that.

Warm regards, Ian

Thank you vendavid. I am pleased that you find this attractive. I also appreciate your criticism, and would welcome any advice on minimising noise. I didn't have access to Photoshop to remove the spots from the dirt on the sensor either, back in the early days of this camera. Now I do. Any advice is welcome.

I was surprised, you understand my meaning? My English isn't good enough, so the mother tongue may be more precise expression.

Ian Stehbens on May 27, 2009

Mother Tongue may be more precise sometimes, provided that there are no mistakes in the text and provided that the "free translator" does a good job!! I am also happy to read or interpret your English if you choose to write in English.

And I am pleased to receive your advice any time, vendavid.

Dear Hans-Jürgen,

If I have introduced you to Fraser Island through my images then I am proud indeed. For this is a remarkable physical environment that provides for a very special, fragile and beautiful ecosystem.

Thanks for expressing your awe.

Wonderful shot.

Best wishes from Brumm, Germany

PS: My gallery is under tag > Brumm2009 < available.

Ian Stehbens on June 12, 2009

Thank you very much Brumm. And thanks for your link: I have wandered through Stuttgart and Brno and riden the Sommerbergbahn at Bad Wildbad with you, this morning. I even put my toe in the water with Rossini!

Regards from Australia
