Fascinating overhangs in the village, John.

Would you know why they use this particular design? Does it have anything to do with the weather patterns there? It is such an interesting area, isn't it!

Hi Hazel, thanks for your comments and interest. A story I heard regarding roof design was that originally these people were seafarers and were driven from the sea by battle many years ago and they built their house roof ends this way to represent the prow of a ship. I don't know how much truth might be in this.
