Very nice composition Ian, with complementary colours of the fungi and ivy!
Greetings, Mira

I agree with Mira, it's a lovely photo of bracket fungi, and I had to check when you had taken it.
Greetings, Amelia

Thanks Mira and Amelia. Its a heartwood decay fungi hence the reference photo (Sycamore leaf in the corner) but I liked the colours so i posted it! Its fairly common and edible, appearing anytime outside winter.
Cheers, Ian

Hello, Ian - I like this image as well! Amelia and Mira suggested that I contact you for ID help on some lichens. Here is one of some odd growths, and this and this one as well, were thought to be leafy lichens. Thank you for your time and greetings from Coos Bay, Oregon :O)

Hey Suzi, thanks for the visit. I love your Lichen shots and that you have covered all three different types. Im not good on Lichens from across the pond but this site may help!

Thank you so much, Ian, for the wonderful links, esp. the Lichens of North America - an excellent reference site - I just enjoyed an overview of it and will look much more closely at an earlier time of day. I will be on the lookout for lichens everywhere now, and know that that is, in fact, what they are. Much appreciated and thanks for your nice comments as well :O)
