Beautiful waterfall series Bruce. This one is excellent for detail and mood. Nothing like a waterfall to sooth the ills of daily life eh?! Great work. Have a splendid weekend.

Best regards, Tom

Hi Bruce ~ what to write? ~ It has all been done above ~ I'm not usually a fan of long exposure waterfall shots as they tend to come excessively creamy ~ I think that in this shot however it works out well and stops short of that problem ~ nice work ~ and I'm glad that you did include it. Ciao nick

Tom and Jim, happy May to you fellows, and thank you for coming by :-) Glad you like the waterfall series. It was a rare weekend when I had a few hours AND the rain fell enough to give us these falls this year. Soothing, yes indeed. Invigorating, too - and a good thing, this trail is steep, if not very long!

Peter, hello, good to hear from you! Your dawn and dusk sun photos continue to stun me; very few solar disc shots attract me as do yours. Great job!

Nick, thank you for this critique, and I think I share your feelings about long-exposure waterfall shots. It is important to handle them with some subtlety, and choose carefully your settings and what to ultimately post. In some cases "creaminess" may be appropriate, but for these little freshets, I find something with more detail is usually pretty attractive.

Cheers, gentlemen! On into summer :-) 90 degrees F here today...
