Very good photography. But this is so crowded.?! Extremely real life portrayal.

Thank you, this is how most people live in Bangkok one room and a balcony. due to the heat much of peoples life is spent on the small balcony.

Hi Leolund!

Nice picture this one! The ugliness of it makes it very intriguing, even beautiful...

I'll be going to Thailand somewhere in the coming three year and am looking forward to it! After seeing your pics even more so!

Greetings and thanks for the visit+YS*.

LOL! Nice take, Leo!

But are you sure it is Bangkok Chinatown? I recognize this style of low-income flats in Northern Bangkok. Will help you map it. :)

Thanks for your help, I am pretty sure it's from somewhere in Chinatown .It's taken from a hotel, it could have been called "White orchid" or something like that. It is "walking distance" from Hualampong railway station. I understand this is very difficult even for a native Bangkok man. leo

ƤōƝƓ on February 12, 2010

Hi Leo, I know "White Orchid". It's a very good clue. Will try re-locating it again. :)

ƤōƝƓ on February 12, 2010

Oops, re-location suggestion is locked.

Lennart Lundquist on February 12, 2010

I accepted your first suggestion, maybe that unlocked it ??

ƤōƝƓ on February 12, 2010

It's still locked! :(

I can now locate White Orchid Hotel on GE but I have a problem locating this building. None of the buildings near the Hotel looks like or have similar shape, especially the thing on top, to the one in your photo.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused, Leo. Whenever I come across any building near Chinatown that looks similar to this one, I will be back to give you the correct coordinate.

Regards, Ah-Pong of B@ngk☺k

Lennart Lundquist on February 12, 2010

Thank you very much for trying, I will try to find out how to unlock. Leo

Spectacular picture, leolund! L1.

Greetings from Galicia.

leolund, the position you have given on the map is a long way from Chinetown. Chinatown is to the west of Hualampong railway station. White Orchid Hotel. 409-421 Yawaraj Road, Bangkok, 10100 - Hotel location 13° 44.418'N - 100° 30.569'E. leolund only you can change the photo's coordinates now.

The signora promised us south rooms with a view close together, instead of which here are north rooms, looking into a courtyard, and a long way apart. Oh, Lucy!”
