Looks real GREAT with this perspective. :) I think the monument is leaning too much towards the tower. Was it intended to get the right composition? Nice lil' holes on the plinth. cheers, archrodney!

I got some shots with the lion alone and without the castle but choosed this one because of the slightly unusual composition, especially the lines. Don't know if those holes are actually bullet holes?! I can't imagine a person deliberately shooting at a war memorial...

Das Bild vom "Löwen" wurde im Jahre 1928 zur Erinnerung an die Gefallenen des 1. Weltkrieges (1914 - 1918) errichtet. Für die Gefallenen des 2. Weltkrieges (1939 - 45) steht ein Mahnmal auf dem Rathausplatz.
