Founded by the pioneering American actor and director Sam Wanamaker, Shakespeare's Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare's work and the playhouse for which he wrote, through the connected means of performance and education.
Together, the Globe Theatre Company, Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition and Globe Education seek to further the experience and international understanding of Shakespeare in performance.
Hazel Coetzee ~~ Then if you visit this you might like to walk a few dozen yards and visit the Tate Modern and look at the Millennium Brdige, whilst if a wander a short distance in the opposite direction you'll find the Golden Hinde ~ let us hope that May 22nd onwards provides you with decent weather ~ Ciao nick
Lukasz J. ~ Yes it is a pity that it is a little hidden away, but then some of the best things in London are a little shy :)) ~ All the best to you dear friend ~ Ciao nick
True. London is a bit unspacious. Everything is crammed together. I like Greenwich. It's like a small, merchant town in the middle of a city. Haven't been to Kew Gardens, but I'm planning on visiting UK again next year. We'll see.
Lukasz J ~ But we have more park land in London than any other Capital City I think you'll find Lukas and Greenwich is a bit out of Town really you know, but well within Greater London of course ~ the main thing is that there is something to please everyone ~ so when you come next year explore a little more ~ ciao nick

Planning to visit it, Nick - pre-Bluebells of course!! Last time we ran out of time, but this time we hope to be more organised.
This, and Kew Gardens, and of course Chelsea, are all on the List!! Hoping for decent weather on 22nd May, for Chelsea.
Cheers, Hazel

I've been to all those places You've shown. I love globe the most, too bad it's so hidden between surrounding the buildings.
