Those aren't the sleeping bear dunes. The sleping bear dunes are up north of Empire by Glen Haven.

Sleeping Bear Dunes NATIONAL Lakeshore extends from just north of Point Betsie Lighthouse. The state of Michigan recognizes the Sleeping Bear Dunes almost all the way down to Manistee. So the caption is correct because i left out the National Lakeshore designation.
