Very cool, love the little cap the moon's wearing.

Great shot, not just of the moon, but Boston with all the light in the buildings and streets, well done. Dianne

Ah I love this :). Beautiful colours.

Thanks Guy ! It's his Nightcap :)
And Thanks Very Much Dianne and Whoelius ! I'd been waiting for this chance since last month's moon. The clouds on the horizon weren't quite as cooperative for a nice low moon as last month, but this still made it worth the trip!

If he kept still he could have moonshine for a nightcap.

That there is a picture travel card, kamaly. You're Boston's best representative.

This is spectacular Kamaly Y* for sure.

LOL, Guy - well, since he never does seem to stay put, I guess he'll have to go for something else. Maybe a Tequila Sunrise ?
And Thanks very much Cal and not1word! I'm hardly the best rep for the city, but it's fun to try to find new shots of it! (I'm sure running out of options for the full moon, though!)

Thanks very much for that whoelius - a nice star would go really nicely with this!
And Thank you also for your nice comment Majid - Greetings from Boston (which unfortunately only looks like this view twice a year;) )

Another great shot kamaly, I am green with envy. Do you think you can conjoer up this scene for me when I get to Boston in Oct? Hope to be there for about 3 days in early Oct. Rgs. M.
kamalyn, on May 16, 2009, said:
Thanks marbiz! Well, you won't be able to catch this particular alignment - the full moon will be rising far to the left of this view then. BUT Oct 4 is the full moon, so you might be in luck with any of a number of other spots. Along with, of course, the start of some fall color, and cranberry harvest season ! That really is the best time of year to visit here - Where will you be going then?

Wow, how very cool, how awesome! Congratulations for this shot!

The itinerary is not fully in place yet. Depending on tours, dates for Boston might change, perhaps a week later. The plan is to do a tour of New England to witness your Fall colours and another that takes in main cities of Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Boston, Wash DC, Phil and NY of course. Also intending to visit nieces in Toronto for a few days.

Thanks Jean ! It was close - I'd been waiting for this for since the previous full moon when I'd realized where the moon would be rising in May - but the weather forecast hadn't been promising. So it was especially a thrill when it rose out of the clouds low enough for this.
And wow, marbiz - that's sure an ambitious itinerary! But that's sure the best time to visit, and you can make a nice big driving loop out of it and get in Canadian Thanksgiving, too!
marbiz, on May 19, 2009, said:
Yes kamaly it is, but when we are coming all that way we have to try and fit as much in as possible. I'll have a better idea of my tours in a couple of weeks. Cheers.

I love the way it looks as though the 'ole orb is hangin' on a hook from the shelf over it. Nice shot
kamalyn, on May 21, 2009, said:
Thanks very much Johny - LOL, maybe I should retitle it 'Hanging Out over Boston'! Cheers from the east coast.
