A peaceful place, so nice!!!

Hi! w.tanschlesinger. Susan, you would not believe how few people use this pristine beach. The local villagers have this all to themselves ;>) A few people swim here but unfortunately, the sea here does not meet the European standards for clean bathing water.

If you look at the adjacent mapping, you will note that there is a massive industrial plant close by. The pollution from this steel works has contaminated all the water courses and consequently, the adjacent sea!!

Greetings Ian...Ah well, that's another year passed and another Christmas to look forward to...It's a many a year since we had a winter so prolonged and cold as this ;>( roll on the spring ;>)

Yes, the pillboxes were made to a standard pattern and sprouted like mushrooms all along the East coast in the early forties..As children, we would re-enact WW2 on the beach...trouble was, no one wanted to be the enemy ;>)
