This Frank Loyd Wright designed building is considered one of his last designs (1957) before his passing in 1959. The construction began in 1960 and the building was completed in 1962.

Alice, all Frank Loyd Wright's architectural designs are supposed to "blend in with the natural surroundings". It really is a masterpiece and I just clicked the shutter. Thanks for visiting my gallery and best regards, David from California

David. I found your Civic Center shot on google images. I'm a graphic designer in San Rafael and I'd love to use your shot in a booklet I've designed for a company here in San Rafael. My client has a similar shot that his son took, but yours is far superior. Could you please email me so I can give you details? flappy8@comcast.net

David, when you mentioned this building in your gallery, I had to go looking for it! I love this building, and always wanted to shoot it. Again, you shot it from a nice angle. I loved living in Marin County (almost as much as I love San Diego) :) It and all of the Bay Area is so very photogenic!

Bay area is definitely a great place to live. San Diego is also very beautiful. It certainly has the best weather in the world and my favorite beach in the continental USA - La Jolla Shores Beach. My son spent 5+ years in UCSD (BS + Masters). I had lots of fun visiting him.
