Hi Gernot

As soon as I saw your previous picture my eye was drawn to the Church in the industrial setting. It reminded me of a Church tat we have passed many times on an elevated section of the M5 Motorway near Birmingham.

In this picture is the waterway a canal or a river? It is nice to see a bit of greenery and looks as if it is a haven for the wildlife.

Incidentally here is another ghostly house.

I have actually been inside this building and been shown the areas and passages where the Catholic Priests used to hide. The outside was built to give an illusion, so that extra bits could be concealed on the inside.

Best Wishes Peter

Thank you for the visit Peter and Kat. This "vindkraft anlage" is the E-126 from Enercon. The power plant is one of the largest of europe. The tower is about 140 mtr. high and one blade is 58 mtr. long. In the same place was until 1998 the village Altenwerder. 1998 the last residents left Altenwerder. All houses have been removed. Now this area is used for the harbour of Hamburg, logistics companys and this windmills. Only the St.-Gertrud-Church, a cemetery and some fruit trees from ancient times are still there. The channel in the foreground was used to drain the old had.
