Wow, this one and the next are both stunning pictures! Keep up the good b/w work.
Thanks, Snemann. I must have taken 100 shots of this that day, waiting for just the right cloud cover. I wanted to catch it when the clouds were over the leftmost peak (Eagle Peak), but they just weren't cooperating. After downloading and comparing shots, I picked this one as a keeper. Sometimes you just look around and there's a magnificent picture just waiting to jump into your camera, and other times, you sweat and strain to get what you want and still spend hours in the digital darkroom to make it come out right. The latter being the case for this one, I really appreciate your comment.
Compare to Lord Bart's color version
Excellent!!! I prefer this one to the color version... even if both are VERY good.
Thank you very much, Raynald. As you could tell, they are both the same photo. This one greyscaled and enhanced with photoshop. Thanks, again.
I don't know... this bw version has something... I can not specify what, but it atracts me a lot more than the color version, although the color version is great as well.
Thanks, Vasco. Yes, I prefer the BW, too. I have a 28x36 cm version of this on my living room wall. Visitors who notice it make favorable comments. To most people, it's just a picture, maybe one I picked up at a garage sale or on the souvenir stand at the park. Philistines!
Philistines? I say Talibans!! I would gladly put a 56x72 cm version of it in my living room
Very nice picture, i like
Thanks, Vasco, llaroccc, and YMB.
This is great photo! Especially I admired it when opened in original size!
true dedication to make the capture.. and an exceptionally clean and attractive mono conversion. Nice one chip :)
Oh, and the crop at the bottom when compared to the colour version akes all the difference.
Thanks, Nayt and highton-ridley. I appreciate your comments and I'm pleased that you like the picture.

Thank you Juha for all your very kind comments.
Thanks... I want be climber :) Rock´s is my passion... Juha :D
Yosemite is the place for climbing, but you should look at Cleber Lima's gallery, too.
Fantastic capture, ChipStephan. I've seen may pictures from Yosemite, but this is certainly one in the top ranks (almost with Ansel Adams :-)
Thank you very much. That's high praise indeed.
