boah! may i ask what length that pool has? that looks like a 100m row??? looks very refreshing while we have 10° C outside :)) mike

The pool was built in 1979, and is 137.5 metres long (451 feet). I don't quite understand why that distance was chosen, but those lengths are long! 12 lengths (not laps!) to a mile. It is my all-time favorite pool. It is only open in summer, from May to September.

Hey Nawitka, thank you for that kindly descricption for that pool! Very impressve! I can recall that near by us there is an older pool like that: Kaiserslautern - Waschmühle

Never been there but swimmers say it is amazing! lol

this was reasone for my first visits here, now that pool was reason for our extended bike tour at Kitsilano beach.
