Thanks, May! This is one of those places at Yellowstone which has no sign and no benches, and so nobody stops to look at it. I don't think it has a name. I find it very odd seeing trees and grass so close to this orange pool. But then as you say, it makes a nice junction of these basic elements.
Many places in this basin, the geyser fumes have killed all the nearby trees. Many are just surrounded by dead white stumps. This pool must not have any vapors at all besides the color, because the trees here don't mind at all.
