I love this sky! GGR.
Dear Füsun and Mira,
It is special to me that you both appreciate this simple image, for I thought it was a great image when I took it and I couldn't wait to see it on the screen...and I wasn't disappointed. It is such simple beauty, isn't it?
Warmest greetings, Ian.
Ian, this is just wonderful, and would grace the walls of any Scandinavian home. But I would place it in my study in the UK, where I am surrounded by my favourite works of art. I have a lot still to learn from great photographers such as yourself :))
I am truly honoured by your assessment, and delighted that you would consider hanging it. If you are serious, then I would be honoured to send you a large file to allow for printing. I am very pleased with it. But what chance is there of walking with you and your camera along some of our wonderful beaches, one day?
I really would love to hang it Ian. We have no access to a colour printer her in Norway, but I could give you my email address, then save the large file to a memory stick. I am in the UK from Monday 25th May for a couple of weeks, which would give me time to frame it and hang it in pride of place :))
I don't want my email to show for long though in an open access place. What do you suggest?
It is yours now, Amy!!!!
Amy is my "English" name, all my family, cousins etc. from all over the world call me Amelia. I don't mind either name.
Thank you so much Ian, you'll see it hanging one of these days :)
And won't that be wonderful!!
Less is so much more!
You have encouraged such artistic expression, Marilyn, and I think you were the initiator of a Less is More Pool were you not? So accept my thanks.
And you captured it! Olga
And I was pleased to be there for that moment, Olga.
Thank you, Karels, for placing one of my favourite photos on my front page again! And of course - thank you dear Ian :)
Thank you, karels. Both Amelia and I agree with your choice of a nice image. ;)
I wondered what 'that tag' was about dear Ian!
It's lovely to see this one again when I am in Norway :))
I am always pleased if I should make you "wonder", Amelia. And I am honoured by your selection of this image.
This weekend, I went out on a full day photo-session with a friend who was keen to hang one of my images in her home. She had a particular landscape in mind, so we set off before dawn and began on a mountaintop looking west as the sun rose, then moved to a range in the north of the area so that the polariser would have maximum effect as the morning developed. When evening came, we were again on the range as the smoke from a controlled burn in the forest just to the west coloured the whole landscape in pinks and mauves once the sun set. Now she has a dilemma ~ which image to choose! I like my friends having such dilemmas. :))
Visual poetry indeed.
Thank you very much, Mini. 'Tis delightful.
