What a perch, what a title!

After reading the title I was like "Huh?". Then I saw the Goose in the large version. I like the shot Marilyn. Very nice color and detail. I bet he/she would have sent you running had you gotten too close. :)

Best regards, Tom

Thanks, Mike and Tom.

When we stopped the car, there was a crow sitting on the perch, but apparently that "guardian" was camera-shy: it flew off!

I was wondering, Tom whether anyone would wonder about the title and then spot the goose. Actually there was a pair of them, and I was surprised when I looked on the computer and saw just one!

I once came upon a pair of geese with a nestful of goslings right beside a trail I was walking, so I know how protective the parents can be! I didn't know how I was going to get past safely--but I did.

Simple but beautiful Marilyn like all your pictures. My congratulations.
