I was stationed here back in '56-57 and this is exactly as I remember the light looking from just north of the Naval Facility. Every day the sky would looke the same with the same sort of puffy clouds as in this picture. We did have a hurricane while I was there... I think it might have been Hurricane "Betsy". We got a lot of rain and wind. That one storm was the only time it rained in the months I was stationed there. We had to use evaps to make our own water.

Now that the Nav Fac is closed I wonder what will become if it? I'd love to vist the Island again.

Capt. Phil, I would recommend taking a Carnival Cruise. They just started service to Grand Turk about 2 years ago and a good number of cruises have it on their itinerary.
