Thanks, Billy. I was having trouble processing this one in colour and getting it to look decent because of the large dynamic range. Really needed at least two exposures taken on a tripod - which I didnt have of course being on a walking holiday with two other guys who walk faster than I do.

Converting to B&W with some fairly hefty experimental tone shifts as a last resort, after a lot of struggle in colour, gave this interesting simulation of Mordor! A pleasant surprise as I'd almost abandonned the photo.

B&W is not something I usually get into. I really should try it more often. It does suit certain subjects better than colour.

'Bleak' - The camera always lies - in reality it was a really nice day!
