This is certainly a scene Vancouverites are familiar with!

It's a pity that crocs don't have shoestrings.

Whenever I see shoes up on the line I always wonder if it was a joke which went wrong, or the result of some malicious little so and so playing a dirty trick on someone else. It would be so handy to be a fly on the wall, wouldn't it, whoelius? Glad it brought a smile to your face. I thought they looked quite poignant up against the blue sky. I wonder how long before the shoe laces rot and they come tumbling down...probably donkeys years!
Very best wishes to you, and thanks for leaving your message.:)

how they got there?...nice shot...

Aha yes, Jean, did you see I remembered to do the footage tag!? I thought of that when I was taking this photo...
Can you see what make they are, Jazz? I shall have to blow it up on my computer and have a look - I hadn't taken notice! So you have a lot of shoes on the power lines in your part of the world too then? This is the only pair I've seen around town, but I'll keep an eye out (or up)..
juncujuncu, I have wondered that myself - whether it was a joke which went wrong or a rotten bully throwing them up there. I would love to have been a fly on the wall and see them make their graceful accent...
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your messages, take care all,
best wishes,
Sue

Steve, I love the concept of an untold story behind every item dangling from a high wire, don't you? So sorry I missed your comment from a long while back, but do appreciate your visit so much!
Thank you, Pennington, I think it was that glorious blue sky up and beyond which clinched the deal for me!
Very best wishes to you both-- I hope to catch up with you again soon...

It seems to be "Trainers on the Wires" season, Sue. I have seen loads around here recently, but never thought to take a photo. Well done.

Hello Keith! This says you were here 0 minutes ago so I must be hot on your trail. :) Over here, these are called 'sand shoes'. Strange, huh?
Thanks for the encouragement,Keith and I am so pleased to hear from you!
Take good care,

We have just returned from Corfu and I have been sorting through hundreds of photos for a week. Then the joys of the new Panoramio Uploader. At one stage I thought I couldn't look at another photo. Then I took time out for a coffee and took a stroll through my favourites' latest offerings. I feel much better now, even though I still have about half of the holiday shots to sort out.
I hope all is well with you and the family.
Regards, Keith and Linda.

Corfu! Very nice:) You should be so relaxed after your holiday, you could spend a good half an hour uploading each photo and still be smiling...well almost...
Good to know you've probably had a dose of sunshine to set you up for that pommie winter, Keith!
All the best to you and yours,
Sue
