Nice owl shot! I called in to Lacock last week, where they have been filming Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. (Lacock Abbey was used in the first film, too.)
There was a huge temporary RV park with plenty of security, and some of the village has been 'dressed' for filming.

Nawitka: Thanks for the explenation. I am watching birds for some 30 years - and Haven't had the chance to see snowy owls yet. My wives sister lives in Vancouver, when is the best time for bird watching there?

Fall (October to December) is great for birdwatching. The Lesser Snow Geese are here now. We get all kinds of migratory birds all through the fall. The Snowy Owls -- I'm not sure when they arrive but they are here all winter. This photo was taken in March, and this was one of the last owls remaining that year.
The Rieffel Bird Sanctuary near the location of this photo has lots more information, and you can e-mail or phone if you want info on specific birds to add to your list.
