Peach Tree Village

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

In the early 1800s the Alabama Indians settled here and named it Ta-Ku-La meaning Peach Tree Village. Later after the War Between the States many white settlers moved in pushing the Indians out and they moved to the current location of the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation a few miles away.

Today it is a small religious camp named Ta-Ku-La.
