Hiya Simon...much of it is due to the moors above the town...the highest point being near the golden glow on the horizon..The cloud builds over the town from the moor and is very often under-lit like you see here!! We have some very unusual weather here in the old town!! Many thanks for your lovely compliment Simon..cheers ;>)
