Dear Füsun,

The Black Sea, and the Caspian Sea for that matter, has always been a fascination for me, especially as I loved drawing maps including outline maps of Europe, and therefore became very aware of them when I did. But not much was ever learnt about them, so a photo like this begins to fill in the blanks for me. For some reason, I have often thought that I would like to visit Sinop(e). Today you have introduced me to the sea and the coast at Kumköy, so different from our coasts.
