This timber bridge was constructed in September 1994 by Eagle Scout Paul R. Perkins for a Boy Scout public service project. The timber bridge across Avery's Creek is on the historic Pioneer Express Trail, and about 50 yards south of Avery's Pond, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. On the north side of the bridge are abundant blackberry vines with thorns, so please bring your clippers and cut the vines far-back from the bridge railing. Do not blithely assume that "someone else" has done this important trail maintenance.
