Excellent closeup of this Ostrich which is looking at you with enormous attention! Here is its cousin the Emu some similarities...lol! I was close to be pecked by this curious Emu because of my shinny silver camera! lol

Hello John. Excellent shot of this emu. Just a few days ago, we went on one of our day trip and we saw 50 wild emu's. Most of them were in a farmers grain crop that had just been freshlt sown.They were very busy scratching it up!!!! :-) . One thing about photographing wild emu's, you need to have everything ready, like the window already downm on the car, camera out of case and turned on. No talking or whispering.They excellent hearing and eye sight. No sudden movements, because before you know it, they have all run away at a very safe distance, well out of camera range.We see them alot. Even though they do heaps of damage , I still love seeing them as well as kangaroos of course! Kind Regards, David. Western Australia
