As I said, I could have been, if my buddy had asked me!

I like the fact you had to get a wide-angle shot to get all the bikes in, Excellent choicechoice of position, did the pedal cycle pop in for refreshments?

Our neighbour asked if we fancied a short ride out and as usual I had to lead, so I extended the "short" ride to include Pooley Bridge.

This is the second time I have uploaded a shot from this position; the earlier one was taken in Feb 08 and there were only a handful of bikes.

I do believe that is Blencathra and Skiddaw on the right horizon.

There were many cyclists (lycra-louts) enjoying a refreshment after the climb.

Looks like a good meeting point,just started biking again.I will give it a try .May see you there someetime.Photography and bike--good mix. Ride safe.

Thanks for visiting Chris. It is definitely a good meeting place, with a great road to approach from either direction. I had a look at your gallery: Honister Pass; Kirkstone Pass; Buttermere; Hallin Fell; even Park Foot Campsite! I'm surprised we haven't met already!
